A gift to me :)

It is so nice to receive unexpected gifts!

Unexpected gifts can take any form - it could be a smile, a compliment, a helping hand, a sweet message, or even a lovely tag!

I got these beautiful tags today and just had to post them.

It also shows how creative we all can be, using our graphic skills, scraps, imagination and thoughtfulness.

Club Kit Part 5

Click on image for larger preview.

Here is Part 5 of the January Coffee Club Kit - The sparkles at the frames are a separate image you can use as an overlay if you choose to, or use the frames without it.

My thoughts with this part were from part of the song Close to You - by The Carpenters, the song was in my mind....

Why do stars fall down from the sky
Every time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue.

This is why I used the sparkles and made the one set of papers with stars on them.
Enjoy - and until next time, keep smiling.

Africa (Gift 1) Nyami Freebie

This one is slightly different to the last five posts of African themed kits from me.

This post also comes with a little "twist" - IF you want the original Nyami that I created - you need to send me an e-mail at the addy on the side of my blog and then I will send it to you as a special gift for writing to me:)
The Nyaminyami is an African water god to protect you at the water.

I drew the Nyami using vectors then painted it using Art Media tools and then Glassed it using Eye Candy. In this set it is attached to the frame.

The Bead patterns were made from beads I created and then played with patterns and kaliedoscope effects.

Everything was done using Paint Shop Pro.

Created for 12" x 12" layouts in 300dpi - the elements are in PNG format and the papers in jpg format.

The elements and papers are in two separate zips.
You can get the elements HERE and the papers HERE

At the top of the preview you can see an enlarged area showing the full size detail. Click on this image to see a larger view at 600 x 600 pixels.

This is Me

This is Me - This is Who I am - I Create and Write whenever I can
Always learning something new and creating graphics is my favourite thing to do. I am having an enjoyable adventure in the world of digital art and scrapping.
Perhaps facing the computer screen for infinite hours, and with the precision of a surgeon, moving the mouse about to get that perfect detail, straining my eyes to the point of distraction, would be considered a waste of time to some - but to me this is my creative world, and to me it is a wonderful waste of time.
Creating these scraps for you is my way to relax after a hard week at work, I forget about everything while I am creating and try all the time to be as original as possible. Colour is something I really enjoy so I am experimenting with different themes.
I have had a look at my download history and am so thrilled to see that since I started posting my freebies at the end of March 2007, there have been over 30000 (gosh!) downloads - I also received my Scraps2Design graduation certificate! I attended a course to learn to make digital scrapping elements and papers, it was a great course which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I am loving making the kits and am loving the fact that so many of you have actually visited my blog and downloaded what I am offering. Wow thank you so much for being such fantastic motivation!
I'm glad you stopped by - I truly appreciate your comments and hope that you will come back again. xoxoxo pat/PCArt

Already the 2nd of January 2008

Can you believe it is officially 2008 and already the 2nd of January? I hope that your celebrations were wonderful, happy and safe, and that you are gently easing yourself into the New Year.

I watched some of the countdowns on television, and I was absolutely fascinated, wide-eyed and jaw-hanging enthralled by the magnificence of the fireworks displays! Each one so spectacular, and I cannot begin to imagine how fantastic it must be to actually be right there to see and hear it live. It left me wondering can they ever repeat that or do better? It was a series of astounding crescendos and explosions of lights, one after another, and each one more magnificent than the last. Without a doubt, no one could have gone away disappointed after such an extravaganza!

I know that the past year was at times difficult for us all, but there were many good times too! Let us not dwell on the negatives, but rather focus on the goodness and love we experienced during the past year, and look forward positively to a year in which, I hope and pray, we all will experience more health, happiness and success than the last, and that we will all have the courage to bravely pursue our dreams and overcome any challenges.

It is my hope that I can bring you many interesting and pleasing kits, freebies and messages during the coming year and as always I am happy to receive any messages you send to me in return. Thank you for the support and encouragement you have given me in the past year and welcome to my newest readers and members.

May it also be a year in which our guardian angels are ever watchful at our sides.

Keep Smiling, Be Happy and Be Blessed!
