Elephant Mask Tag

Here I drew an African sort of bead work design, and painted a Zulu shield over it, then used a mask supplied in digital scrapping class to create this tag. I selected the frame of the mask and filled it with the colours from the beads and shield. The elephant is misted from a drawing I did a few years ago and the button is a gold sculpture of the beads and shield.I applied another mask to the background and added a sun that I also painted. All of this was done in Paint Shop Pro 8. I have been learning various tricks for making digital scrap elements, papers, buttons, rickrack and brads. Today is lesson three in Scraps to Design and we will be working on making papers and torn paper edges. I have also made two kits but they are in a challenge and are being judged so I cannot show them to you yet. Hopefully now that I am getting the idea of what digital scrap design for making layouts and kits is all about, I will soon be able to post a kit or layout to share.

Happy Turkey Day

This was another challenge in Scraps2Design
"Turkey", was made using preset teardrop and circle shapes, I used the spraygun and cut-out effects on the shapes.
Text fill and background was made from the pattern on the Turkey's tummy.
Brads were made from a tutorial.
Font is Turkey Sandwich !
All made by me no borrowed elements - I am really having fun and not getting much of anything else done!
Image was created 600 x 600 pixels at 300dpi but compressed in JPEG Optimizer x 10 for posting.

My Oldest Child

Created 600 x 600 pixels 300dpi
This was made in response to a challenge in the digital scrapping class I am attending.
All my own work - except the needle tube I collected somewhere in the past
Font Cross Stitch Coarse
This photo was taken by me in February 2006 when I visited her in South Africa,
she is a fashion designer and she is a very loving person and an artistic dreamer
and whenever I think of her I associate her with pink, and other bright colours, pretty beads and butterflies.

A little bit of creativity

I had no idea where I was going with this and probably got carried away, but eventually decided that this would have to be okay.
The beads on wire were done from a tutorial,
I just colourized them for this, (I bet you guessed that). I made hearts with preset shapes and filled with the pattern from the cosmos tube and used masks and filters to make the backgrounds. I borrowed a piece of the chain to make my heart dangly thing on the left and ©Johannas Art is used with permission.

This is my humble result
I joined a group called Scraps2Design here
