Forget Me Not

Michelle of Digital Scrapping Class, Creative Activities Team, posted this tutorial link from Poppyfield, for us all to try - I strayed away from the tutorial after the first flower - I have a problem following tutorials exactly. I am quite pleased with the result, which was inspired by this old Easter card I found whilst browsing around.

Silently, one by one, in the infinite meadows of Heaven,
Blossom the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the angels.

Make Your Own Place Mats

Use your imagination
to create your own beautiful Place Mats for the dinner table!

I created mine 11 inches x 8,5 inches @ 300 pixels per inch.
I used only three colours.
1 Brush which I rotated to get the different angles down the right side and bottom - then duplicated - mirror and flip to match the other side.
Use Preset shape rectangle, no fill, line style dashed, width 7 to create the stitches.
Net pattern for the netting.
Heart shape with cut-out for the hearts.
I used a free Dover black and white pattern to create the central design which I coloured and bevelled.
Quick stitch font for the wording.
Laminate your design on cardstock.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or follow the tutorial link below on how to create a Dry Wipe Memo Board
that is laminated. (Write notes on it with a White Board Marker) From your 8,5 inch x 11 inch layout. As you can see on the photograph of the finished product, a little extra is added to the border by the laminate.

I don't have a laminating machine, so I would take mine to the printing shop on a disk and ask them to print and laminate them for me.

Photo Challenge

I was challenged a few days ago by Joani
Sorry for taking so long to respond, I have had a really bad head cold and then it went to my chest - I am only starting to feel human again today! I was also Challenged by Nema So I guess this calls for two photo's! For My second photo I decided to "view folders by modified" and then went back again to the now 6th folder and 6th image in that folder...photo two of Big Ben is the result.

This is the challenge instruction:
Go to your photo folder in your computer.
Go to the 6th folder of of photos.
Go to the sixth picture.
Put the picture on your blog and description of it.
Invite six friends to join the challenge.
Link them in your blog and let them know they have been challenged.

Here is my photo.

When I received this challenge, I was rather intrigued about what the 6th file and the 6th photo in that file would be? - Well here it is!
It is a close up photo taken with my Sony Cyber-shot camera, of a beautiful bouquet of flowers that I was given in August 2005
Sometimes it is good to capture these kinds of memories because, they can easily be forgotten.

This photo as you can guess was taken in London, it was my first tour of the city and I enjoyed seeing famous landmarks and taking photo's along the way.

Thank you for the challenge Joanie and Nema!

Now here are the friends I am passing the challenge on to!
