I WAS A 47MB .psp image FATTY

I was one of the biggest files in pat's DSC Folder!
I was a 3600 pixels x 3600 pixels at 300 pixels per inch Paint Shop Pro Image.
Yes it's TRUE I actually weighed 47MB
But then I decided I wanted to be a .jpg Preview!

WOW Look at me now!
I am a slim trim 600 pixels x 600 pixels at 72 pixels per inch .jpg Preview - I was also compressed x 10%

Now I only weigh 187KB and I still look Great!

This is how I got so fit!
I went to Image - Resize - 72 pixels per inch - then decided I wanted to be 600 x 600 pixels - and resampled myself - Smart Size - I maintained my Aspect Ratio and Resized All Layers
Then File - Save As - my name is slimPRV.jpg - Options - Compression Factor 10 - Okay - Save

Of course whilst in flight Yahoo may add a bit of weight to me
so I guess when I arrive I will weigh in around 265KB

Travelling always make me put on a little bit of weight
just to bug me, but hey who will notice or worry about a couple of KB ?
I am very happy with my new look!
When I arrive if I am slightly overweight please look the other way
and none of us will say anything :)

Delmar the Spider by Lady TX

Delmar the Spider

Tutorial Note
This is a very easy tutorial!
The link to the web mentioned in the tutorial is not available, but you can draw a web if you want to
using the freehand setting on your pen tool and with the tracking set at about 70 (basically the same as when you draw doodles using your pen tool.)
Do your own thing with Delmar :) and make him your own spider - remember Halloween is on the way too.
Use patterns. textures, bevels, fabrics, whatever you wish - imagine real life scrapping with odds and ends about the house. How about a Lady Delmar Spider or a baby or a family?

Challenge Week One - August

Thanks Caz this was another fun Challenge!

Challenge from Caz
Digital Scrapping Class

Monthly Challenge ~ August 2008 ~ "Time for a Rhyme"

Here we are again on the edge of a new month, so here is my layout challenge for you all ...

Choose a poem, verse or ditty, or something like, and then build your page layout around it. It could be anything from a few lines to 3 or 4 verses - it could be your own work or written by a famous author, or anything in between.

Here is how it will work :
The first week of every month I will give you a theme, and you will scrap a layout around that theme. When you are ready, you can create a preview to post to the group. Please observe the maximum posting size :
no larger than 72 pixels per inch (dpi) 600 x 600 pixels smart size

Firstly ... I just want to say that this challenge is only for fun ~ you don't have to do it ~ if you decide to have a go at one, you are not committed to do any more.

Secondly ... It is a good idea to make yourself a folder, somewhere on your PC where you can find it easily, and name it Themed Layout Challenges. As the months go by you can add sub-folders inside with the date/name of your layout, so you can keep everything together.

Thirdly ... It would be great practice for you to make your own papers, elements, layouts etc., using tutorials ~ but you don't have to! You can use any freebies you may have collected or have been shared through the group.

Fourth ... When I post the Challenge I will include a layout I've made which will further explain the Theme. I will also point you in the right direction for suitable tutorials.

Finally ~ Have Fun ~ Enjoy Yourself ~ Take Your Time & Don't Stress

Helpful Hints

One hint/tip I would give you is that you don't always have to use photos on a layout - sometimes embellishments are enough! Sadly I haven't been able to make a layout of my own to go with the challenge - hopefully I will do something later when I get my PC sorted *S*

Speak to you all soon
